Data Consulting is a broad category of services. It can help to talk in terms of specific examples of problems you may face, which we can help with. Here are a few to get started.
The focus is likely to be on triaging the clutter, developing a plan to simplify, and then executing the plan. Deliverables may include written analysis of the problem and paths towards resolution, the development of a knowledge base, documentation of new, automated and scalable processes, as well as analysis of time- and cost-savings.
The focus here would be on goal-setting and project planning. Deliverables may include a strategic plan and/or a project plan, depending on the context. In this scenario a series of go / no-go checkpoints might be established, to ensure that each prerequisite stage is satisfied before moving forward, with the opportunity for rounds of feedback and adjustment. A list of resources with practical tips for implementation might be the final deliverable.
The work required to take the seemingly impossible, and make it possible, may involve prioritization and scenario analysis. Deliverables may include: diagrams of opportunities vs. costs and best and worst case resource utilization. A matrix may be created to describe tradeoffs. This may also be a good use case for deep research for inspiration from lateral industries, to be delivered in the form of a report with recommendations.
The focus is likely to be on finding a balance between aspirations and practical considerations. Constructive ways to move this project forward might be requirements documentation and prototyping. Diagrams and flowcharts may also be useful as a point of reference when collaborating with partners and external vendors. Once you have a better idea what you are looking to do, and who can help you do it, you'll be empowered to choose how much to invest in your ideas.
The TPC approach is about: asking questions, understanding problems, developing solutions in collaboration, and finally transitioning ownership of the solution back to the business owner.
Short term clients will engage us as a thought partner, and they will receive notes and recommendations after our time together.
Longer term clients will work with us to create a custom Statement of Work. Deliverables may include reports, diagrams, planning documents, training videos, or marketing materials.
We make it a point to produce deliverables as we go, so that you can share them with your teams and keep an open dialog with us. All of our work is done in collaboration, and we make it our business to make sure you understand the methods we use, so that you can keep using them successfully after the project is completed.
Visit the "Client Stories" tab for a better sense of actual work done for clients. One entrepreneur client was able to secure additional funding for his business by presenting investors with "evidence" that his idea was worth investing in, with our help.
